I've been offered a Senior Software Engineer position at Delivery Hero Berlin. TC Breakup is as below Base: 93000 EUR RSU: 17000 EUR per year Relocation Bonus: 7500 EUR Total 110000 EUR My current TC in India Base 4400000 INR Bonus 600000 INR RSU 1200000 INR per year Sign on 400000 INR Total in EUR 81000 YoE : 9 If I accept the offer, I'll be moving with family (wife and kid) Looking for suggestions. Is this a lowball offer? Should I accept and move? Or negotiate? Or stay back in India? #deliveryhero
Seems like a good choice since you want to go with your family. Taxes are high but you will definitely be able to use that tax money if your kid goes to school. Quality of life > from India
Kid won't go to school anytime in near future. Only a few weeks old.

I think that’s incorrect. Op said has a wife. This means tax class 3 This means take home is around 62k Thats 5k a month. Rent for a double bedroom apartment prob 1800 if op is lazy on searching.

Id say the offer you got from dh is already very good for Berlin. 110k tc is solid, gj. I moved here on a 50k offer lmao I see a lot of companies with 75 to 85 tc offers usually zero stock. US based companies are usually the ones with the top offers. On levels.fyi you can see some of them. TC ~150k Yoe ~10y
You don’t move to EU to build wealth buddy. Stay in India if that’s your goal
Please update once you have decided. It will be helpful for many. Language is surely an consideration. If you learn it, you have a great social life, else you limit yourself to much smaller community.
If your motive is not only to save money. Berlin will offer many more things like the culture, quality of life, tourism as most of the countries are easily accessible. I think it's an experience anyone can come back to India whenever you want. But experiencing a different culture and working environment would be a great plus point.

Be warned. Lifestyle will change. Specialy for wife. She will be alone in new country w/t social contracts. One needs to do whole Haushold work on its own. No maids, etc. For kid it will be difficult at the beginning. New environment, new language, no friends and relatives to start with.

If you are an IC3, 93k is already better than normal !
Anyone coming to Europe should not come thinking of saving a lot of money. Go to US for that. Europe is for good quality of life with great social benefits. People coming from India especially families are super dependent on maids ,etc. which you won't get here but ofcourse if you can spend a lot of money on that, you can get that.
