What is the general hiring timeframe after you sign the offer letter? Medtronic is applying for H1B for me this year and it feels like a lifetime for me to get in after accepting the position. I heard the previous candidate who got hired was delayed for 3 weeks. Is it really that slow of a process?
I have no experience with H1B or how that affects onboarding but nothing at Medtronic happens fast. Add correspondence with government and I am shocked to hear someone got through all that in only three weeks. Two weeks is probably the fastest one could expect. Add delays for additional processing with H1B. Congrats on your new position and good luck!
Thank you
yes. me being on H1B and Hiring Manager at MDT. it is slower compared to all my previous companies . It too me 2 months from offer to join
Took me 1 month to join after signing off. But this was in 2019 wayy before Covid was a thing
It is slow...to slow imo
It took my coworker up to 2 or 3 months I believe
Took 3 weeks for me to start after signing offer letter. It took 2 weeks for them to do background check and drug testing and I asked for an additional 1 week for relocation. Mind that this was in Jan/Feb 2020. You will need to ask your hiring manager/recruiter on how this impacts your H1B filing.
It’s a slow process. Be patient. Talk to your recruiter about the timeframe they will probably be your best option.
Thank you, I was becoming a bit impatient. They kinda asked me to be patient as you did.
