How is the RPM program for experienced (13+ YOE) professionals from tech industry (outside of product)? Does it make sense to go through 3 cycles of RPM or simply networking to get a Product job? #meta #product #rpm
Network and make your way in. I’m not a pm , but interviewed with meta for L5 pm recently. Accepted another company, but what I found from my job search was that it’s possible to break into pm at all the large tech companies without prior pm experience. You do need to make the case for how you built pm skills in your prior roles. Dm me for more info. Rpm pays low and will probably be a big down level
What was your background when you applied to these pm roles directly ?
Hi! Could I Dm you too?
RPMs are new grads, so 21 year olds. You decide if you want to be in a cohort with kids.
Not necessarily... There are also experienced professionals there
Yes, but none with 13yoe. At most with 2-3. The program won’t consider someone with more than ~5yoe anyway. Source: was at Meta and helped shape the RPM program.
