As much as I hate regulation this shit should be illegal. Everyone and their mom creates a record of their PII and DNA then waits for it to be subpoenaed or stolen in an eventual data breach.
Exactly... why would anyone ever give their DNA to a stupid profit driven company. Guaranteed that they will misuse your DNA info, or sell it, or be hacked and have it all stolen along with your name, address, telephone number, credit card, etc (identifying information). You have to part of a really stupid group of people to give your DNA to a greedy worthless profit driven company.

There are more mizrahi (arab/levantine) jews in israel today than ashkenazi. Mostly because they were expelled from their original arab countries (yemen, syria, etc) in recent history
I should clarify that not all of the Mizrahi were expelled, though a significant number were. A number of them voluntarily left to Israel after it was established as a state
A lot of places do this, same with paternity testing. It's to prevent break down of society when all the beta males realize that they are raising kids that aren't their own.
