What are msft rsu refreshers these days? I’ve heard it was pretty bad back a few years ago but that its gotten better. Context: my offer rsu was 200k over 4 yrs.
i got 20k over 4 years. I said f*** off
So thats what ive been hearing but got 200 so im confused. No way i was that spectacular. Is it diff by Org? When were you offered this? This is the first large tech org im joining.
hoe many YOE and what position? They tend to do it for higher levels
Sign that offer and welcome to the team
😆
This doesnt answer my q lol
You should ask your recruiter and they should give you that info. On hire grants and refreshers are not going to be the same typically.
Well that i figured. Was curious to get some first hand Eng nums. Ja feel?
Refreshers have targets just like cash bonus, where you can get anywhere between 0 and 200% of target (which is 10% for sde2 hence up to 20%). Those depend on level, and for refreshers are not much at your level, probably below 20k. You have a relatively high sign in rsu for level so do not expect to not cliff out at eoy#4
Can you define cliff please? Seen it used elsewhere on blind.
Tc crash
Refreshers are shit at Microsoft. You got an awesome offer and will get nothing remotely close to that as a 62, 63, 64, or 65 as an annual refresher. Lots of other reasons to join MSFT though.
I believe target refresher is 15k for L62
With your current trajectory you should be able to hit L65 by the time your four years is up, which is where refreshers start to get semi-competitive.
Congratulations. What level and org?
62 EDT.
What's edt? Do you mean e&d?
