Has anyone on here previously worked at thoughtworks? I'm interviewing for a position and I would like to know what people's career paths have been like. I think I would be well suited to the work, and could learn loads, but I'm concerned about 1) compensation and 2) what life will be like after doing it for two years. Do people gravitate more towards management/lead roles or do they just stay engineers? For people working at top companies (e.g. Google, Facebook, etc) do engineers coming out of thoughtworks have a reputation?
I work there and have for a while. Engineers stay engineers and there's a sting culture of not being pushed in a different role (ie management) unless you want to be.
Definite respect and good reputation. Mixed personal feelings on super extreme programming but those who I've talked to really enjoy it.
