ML interviews cover too wide knowledge spectrum

During interviews, I had experiences ranging from the interviewer not understanding the concept, to interviewers scoffing saying what I have accomplished is too simple. Some interviewers ask for a very specific implementation of a product that you probably have no experience with. The ML system design prep material can get you so far. Once they drill down into the detail, it is very difficult to answer the corner cases without real experience. Then some would like to dig into statistics or state-of-the-art models as if they are using the time to learn something interesting. I know passing a software interview is like winning a draw, but I am thinking about starting a Youtube Channel for ML Design just so that I have a breadth of knowledge and can get better at explaining complicated concepts in a limited time. There are other options. It is not the best time to be applying for jobs. What do you think? TC 300k 10YOE #engineering #software #swe #career #interview

Well the field requires a large breadth of knowledge, so that's expected. As for the best time for applying for jobs, the saying goes it's when you already got one.
