I have an Onsite with Snap for SWE L4. What level of questions can I expect? TC 0
Congrats on landing the interview. ๐ I have 15 YOE (and some AR). I applied and got rejected. I only have a bachelors from a state university though so maybe that was the reason. Iโm cursed :\
I've got a BS from state too. It's pretty random who you get and whether they like you though.
Study your C++ fundamentals and show case how you problem-solve. ๐
i mostly ask easy-med question but go up from there just to understand you know how to productionalize it, e.g. search word in a text, how about long word, or large text, or high qps, or text changes small vs large, or word is always constant etc., you get the point. I look for smbd who can think of alternatives rather than can leetcode. Unfortunately lots of meta engs failed on it, since at meta engs work on small part of a service and have less knowledge of internal tools. ps: i worked with some of those tools
Why not use elastic search for searching text, do you penalize interviewer if they can say just use elastic search?
Why not use chatgpt for interviewing? Do you penalize the interviewer if they can say just use chatgpt?
For my backend SWE onsite at Snap in a weeks time, I have 1x coding and 2x system design. Been told that once will focus on backend for ML inference (team related to AR, ML, CV). Anyone at snap that have advice, hint or resources to prep for this? This is the only bit I'm slightly confused on...
It doesnโt matter at those levels. Expect easy, med or hard. Good luck
