Received an offer from a team in Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovations org. The org is into developing software for identifying and establishing new Azure regions world wide. Any comments/suggestions about the org or would help. Thanks!
If you are joining Cloud Operations Innovation Engineering. I would urge you to stay away. The leadership is all from Amazon and they are brutal, unempathetic and highly vindictive. Plus to top it all it is very political and depends on how much you suck up to leadership. You are better off going to Amazon than work at COIE which is a Sheep (Microsoft) in Wolf (Amazon) skin. They preach vulnerability and if you practice you are screwed literally. They talk about growth mindset culture but the leadership has a fixed mindset and if you disagree with them you are marked. D&I is a joke here. It is all mostly men who are Indians and Asians (hardly any african american, latino, women, LGBTQ etc.). Empathy a core MS culture is a sham - if they dont like or want you they will make you leave by fabricating untruth in your performance reviews and screwing your annual rewards. If you are going to another org in COI but not COIE you may be okay. Stay away from COIE. Lastly if you are joining CE team in COIE they are losing a lot of people (managers and SWEs).
Any org where they have to append “+ Innovations” to the end of the org name means not enough people were interested in joining the “Cloud Ops” org before
