12 yoe L64 SDM position I’m not TC chasing here I need better WLB and benefits at Amazon suck. Just want to know how much I can negotiate up. 195 base with 150k/4yr is the offer
mind sharing your interview experience?
Similar to Amazon interview loop but MS SDM has coding questions unlike Amazon SDM loop which didn't for me.
What was the coding round like?
Are you a L5 SDM at Amazon?
I havent seen amazon numbers at 250k for 12 yoe.. is that calculation wrong?
I’m an L5 hired when the stock was at 3400 😅
Got it. For 12 yoe.. cant msft just do L65?
lol Msft is as toxic as Amazon with very low pay
True 💯
Mostly many azure teams in particular
For better WLB you should join as a L64 IC not M
Never go with Microsoft! you have been warned
Care to elaborate?
Dont listen to him/her however u sign on is very low (cash and stock). Microsoft isnt bad at all otherwise
Tf i made more as a sr engineer is msft thst bad man
MSFT pays that bad? That’s IC3/IC4 pay at Meta.
MSFT pay is good for ML/AI.. else pretty ordinary that even we could counter.. and we can counter only if the new offer is within 20% of the current one. Else we need higher level approvals.. and we couldnt counter even a single offer from meta so far.. so u r right
At least WLB should be a lot better
Why equity so low? Also wlb can be bad at nsft a well. Depends on team and org. Wlb for new manager wibt be good anyway

L4 Google -> 45 interviews, 5 offers, AMA
Base is fine. Equity is very low and should go higher. Try to negotiate higher sign-on as well.
How much ceiling do you think there is here? I was thinking asking for 200/4yr
So my L63 offer 2 years ago was 250k/4 year joining stock. I would say ask that.
