Recently I got offered a position as SE2 in Microsoft. The offer in money sounds great (14% more base and 33% more stock) but I'm not sure to accept it because I feel that the level is lower that what I should have. Currently I'm SDE2 in Amazon and previously I was specialist in HPE. Microsoft is offering me a SDE2, which according to levels.fyi looks lower than my previous positions. Should I ask for other level, consider just the money or pass on the offer? Thanks
What was your TC when you left HPE ?
TC or GTFO.
MS, Amazon, HPE - guess the odd one out.
Just finished job searching. With 10months experience I received an SDE II offer from Microsoft and only SDE I offer from Amazon. Granted the Amazon offer was towards the very top of the SDE I pay band. Maybe that info helps.
Also want to add, just ask for the higher level. If they say no then there’s not really any loss.

What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
They’re the same level
Really? Haha thanks. Maybe I should trust less the levels.fyi equivalence.
Yea levels compares the salary distribution more than the actual scope of the role
