Hi, I’m looking to pursue MS in Data Analytics from SJSU. Any Alumni who can offer insight into the coursework and future prospects ? Also, The degree seems to be through College of Professional and Global Education (Estd: 2018), is this different from college of engineering ? Would this be valuable ? Coursework: Mathematical Method for Data Analytics Database Systems for Analytics Data Visualization Data Mining and Analytics ML Technologies
I think it's not as rigorous as it should be for a Master's level degree.
It is SJSU. What do you expect? OP find a different school.
Is that the entire program?
These are core courses. Others electives can be from MBA, Software Engg. Etc
Why not just do computer science than these hype fad new degree specializations? Can always take such courses as part of it. Atleast CS degree is more versatile, no data science job will say no to that but there are a ton of jobs you cant get to cuz of the hype degree.

Yup, I tried that, but I am not able to find anyone who’s done a Data Analytics course perse. It’s fairly new - Established 2018.
