MSFT - Atlanta [Job Offer Evaluation]
Hi, I'm currently an analyst at Goldman NYC. I am always interviewing and as a result of my passive interviewing, I have received an offer for Microsoft Atlanta. Here are the offer details for Software Engineer 2 (L61): Base: 128K (lower than current base) Sign on: 40K/2 year Equity: 25K/yr 6k relo Bonus Metrics: - Salary increase variable not really counting that - Performance Bonus (20% of base) - Stock award (up to 36k extra equity) The cost of living in Atlanta is only 8% lower than where I am living right now. I was targeting L4(esque) comp from FAANG+ companies for my next role. I can't complain about my current role much, the team is good, and I get some autonomy to work on projects that I want to work on. The only thing that is honestly lacking is TC at Goldman compared to other companies. I am also in the process of interviewing with other companies so there is that to consider as well. Now I would like to find out realistically what this TC boils down to realistically. Like realistically, how much TC could I achieve given the bonus metrics for an average dev? And, if you selected negotiate, how much should I negotiate up to? P.S if there is anyone that can speak about office perks/life in Atlanta that would be pretty great as well. Low. Stock should be 140k as standard, more if u have faang offer. Base, im not sure, but i got 160k in the Bay
They have given me till Friday next week to accept so I guess I can ask them on Tuesday next week. I should hopefully have a competing offer from a hedge fund by then as well
Yeah if u dont, still ask for more like 150 160k rsu, they will lowball to 140k ish anyway

The role is only for Atlanta, I have to relocate I'm pretty sure
