MSFT- Technical program manager

Hi, I’ve been with Amazon for about 1.7 years now. I’m an L4 SDE about to get promoted to L5. However, I don’t enjoy coding too much anymore and looking to transition into product/program management space. I’ve looked at internal opportunities at Amazon and I don’t think TPM work at Amazon is valued at all. If someone could provide me with a referral and also please share your opinions if you think this is a wrong choice. I’ve completed various projects with complete ownership in my role and also talk to various stakeholders for my projects with minimal help from my manager. I also send out regular updates to the leadership and also enjoy doc writing more than coding now. Please let me know if you can provide me a referral and also share your honest opinion YOE:1.7 TC: 150k

If someone’s hiring for a TPM, I’d also be open to having a quick coffee chat to let you know about my experience and then if you think I’m the right fit, we can talk further about the position

Get promoted, switch To SDM role. You won't have to write code anymore if that's your primary objective for moving out of SDE Ladder.

Unfortunately L5 SDMs are not a thing anymore.

Can you elaborate on this? I see lot of L5 SDE 2 to L5 SDM
