I have ~12K to invest. I am confused if I should buy AMZN or MSFT. What y’all think? #personalfinance #investments
I bought Amazon last year end with similar amount. My % return as of today is ~5% or less. That said, I still like the stock in long term. If i had to make that choice again, I would split it equally between Microsoft and Amazon.
If we could make the choice again …. Haha 😂 …
Exactly! Lessons learnt

Split between them. Diversify your portfolio. Or just get QQQ
Blind, like most retail, are terrible traders that performance chase. Without fail, they vote for momentum trades, when usually it’s the contrarian take that ends up right. Last year when AMZN was high flying, this poll would’ve told you to buy AMZN and sell Google, netting 0%. We saw how that turned out. These polls are useless because you can already know they answer by checking what recently did well, and that’s what Blind will vote for. It’s wrong.
The correct answer is you shouldn't buy either.
That’s the layman’s answer. There are those able to do actual due diligence and better the avg’s https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margin_of_Safety_(book)

Individual stocks are a headache. Get a NASDAQ focused fund with the lowest expense ratio. I like FNCMX
