How stable is Apple SPG
Expecting an offer from Apple SPG. Would like to know how stable is that group (Uber's layoff pattern really messed up my GC application). I knew there was a big layoff in early 2019 but a few months later apple bought drive.ai. I wonder if that layoff was targeted to specific groups or just reduce the overall project size. How are things looking now from an insider perspective? Current TC: 270k, expected apple offer (300K) YE: 2
Not in that org, but Iโm in another R&D team in AI/ML and ยพ of the managers in the team jumped ship from that project. I havenโt heard great things.
Thanks for the info. If I may dig a bit deeper, did you hear about a lot of reorganizations related to the group throughout the years? I can understand that managers want to move to a more promising org for a bigger impact and self driving is not there yet. As an engineer, I care more about job security in the next few years for the immigration related stuff.

Thanks. I do have a non-related phD so it helped (or hurt depending on how you look at the years spent on getting the degree)
