Mac architecture lead Jeff Wilcox defects to Intel to design new SoCs. What does this mean for Apple? https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2022/01/apple-loses-a-key-mac-silicon-executive-to-intel-amidst-m1-transition/ #apple #intel
mean nothing
Nothing yet Wait for 4-10+ years to see what happens at Intel's side
Oh no Anyways
That guy was alright. The real MVPs were the folks working behind the scenes.
An executive? Oh no! They might have awesome PowerPoints and really good all hands meetings now!!
He might even get his own technical assistant! 🤣
he’s a fellow not management 🤣
TSMC is going to beat Intel
How?
How that help for USA? We should be more focused on bringing back silicon manufacturing facilities in US. Geo political situation indicates fall of Taiwan, can threaten US industries. Focus on the hand that feeds you, don’t wish to chop it.
What's going on with 3nm? Is tsmc going to make 2022?
Apple & Intel already partnering with tsmc for 3nm I think the partnerships are just the norm now where tsmc will be the r&d paving the way forward until intel develops the technology and produces the same at a bigger scale maybe later
Wonder what his TC was pre and post. 🦖
Definitely a lot that I can imagine 😅
Curious if he had a non compete
Not enforceable in California
This comment brings a whole new meaning to the company name "Intel".
