After 90 years, the institutional local vagrant party spot is now closing due to the cost of handling the vagranta. Kshama's dreams are finally coming true.
Instead close all the Amazon offices! #DieAmazon

Homeless in the Seattle streets don't buy at Macy's. Get the homeless off the streets, so that people feel safe and comfortable shopping downtown again.
What a heartless suggestion. Here's a more progressive idea: let's turn the old Macy's building into an upscale shelter, to further incentivize homelessness. With better government handouts, someday we can all be homeless.
Ya you are clearly biased. We have no evidence to prove that all the homeless people in Macy's aren't paying customers.
It's pretty fitting that the building will house Amazon next year lol
Amazon has been in it for over a year, occupying everything above the second floor I think
Hotel has some but amzn taking over
Macy’s is at the verge of bankruptcy, and I am not surprised. Their inventory leaves a lot to be desired, can’t imagine they generate enough sales to keep paying rent for that huge building.
Macy's only opened in the location in 2003 so I'm not sure where the OP got 90 years from. The real loss was at that time when Bon Marche was replaced by Macy's. BM was real Seattle culture, Macy's is a shitty, depressing store from the East coast.
In Seattle downtown for 90 yrs but not at that location. Source: https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/report-macy-s-closing-downtown-seattle-store/991414951
"It's Macy's now but was the Bon Marché for decades." It's been a department store for 90 years but it really died when Macy's took it over. Bon Marche was something iconic. Macy's was always just sad.
It's a nice Macy's but you're competing with homeless people for dressing rooms.
I blame amazon.
