What's going on? Does this impact Hulu at all? Applied for a job at Hulu. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/12/disney-reorganizes-to-focus-on-streaming-direct-to-consumer.html?__source=iosappshare%7Ccom.tinyspeck.chatlyio.share
Yes this will impact hulu.
Sounds like it will impact Hulu in a positive way
How?
More money being put into streaming -> more Hulu original content -> more subscribers
Will there be layoffs around this due to redundancies? Hoping I get my bonus first.
Probably will be layoffs all around π
If you applied recently, then most likely if you pass the interview, you'll be hired. They'll just put you in a team where they'd like to increase the workforce. We folks who are already at Hulu should be worried. Especially during layoffs the folks who earn more get trimmed first. Good luck. Future seems promising, given everything is under a single unit now.

Disney laid off the remaining technology staff at NatGeo last month (after its purchase of NatGeo Partners from Fox). It initially pitched that staff could either relocate or take a package. In the end, 10% were given the relocation option. Fortunately, with Disney's reputation in the tech community all knew it was coming and many had already left.
What did the severance package look like? Asking for a friend.
Is there any article/news about this out there?
This was long coming! Anybody hired new will be paid less than current employees and since current employees are too expensive, they will be let go (or if they're smart enough will jump before the layoffs)
Hulu doesn't work on brave browser :-(
Rip hulu
