Make a move or Stay ??

Folks, I needed some advice here on making a decision. I joined Salesforce in 2020 as SMTS, got promoted to LMTS in 2 years and see a clear path to next level in 2 years. I have fair opportunity of being a people manager as well. But the work is no more challenging or perhaps I am not putting much heart into it. I started the prep for 2 months and got couple of onsite scheduled. Amazon/ Stripe / Disney and few others all for equivalent level. I am little hesitant to move because my wife is expecting and by next June, we will be parents and so I will not be able to commit very much at the new place I will be joining. But on the other side, I feel I am missing on lot of opportunities and not learning that much. Is it just FOMO ? Should I make a move or stay back and grow here vertically ? Will too much of tenure at Salesforce rust me and in future, I might not be able to make a move ? #salesforce #career TC: 350K

Stay because of baby. Super hard to be a new parent and also start a new job. I kind of regret doing both at the same time

Imho — Stay at least until birth and pat leave, there is possibly recession and you should enjoy time with your kid. If there are birth issues (or first kid) that is enough stress that you may not be familiar with yet and can impact your work performance. If you move, new company may not be so keen on immediate pat leave but who knows. Finally depends on single income or not and how much bump you can get. Good luck.

Stay. Mass layoffs are coming and the least tenured employees will be most vulnerable.

Stay put. I did the mistake of switching while expecting a baby. It's effing hard. Max out your parental leave there and then GTFO
