Is Senior Engineering Manager at Palo Alto Networks equivalent to M3 or M4 at FAANG? What salary to expect at this level in Bay Area for Palo Alto Networks? I have 15 years of experience. Thinking of negotiating a TC of 600K. Is that reasonable? Too low ? Too high? Current TC: 250K base + lot of paper money at unicorn (expected IPO in a year)
I’d say 375-450 is possible right now. 500-600 isn’t unless you’re in a niche field and there’s a huge need for your skills set
Spot on, 375-450 is the range. One of my friend joined last month.
That does not sound very promising for 15+ Years of experience. I was expecting to be at least 500K +
I was told 500k+ for director level and above. Senior manager in PANW can be compared to M1 in FAANG.
In levels.fyi I see sr principal and principal salaries in 500k range in recent months. Does sr manager correspond to the sr principal in eng ladder at Palo Alto networks?
That's probably with stock appreciation inflation. Real salary closer to 400. Sr Mgr and Sr Principal both T10.
Sr.PE is in 400-425 range now best case It sucks to be low balled, but times are as such Sr.Manager can take it to 450-475 best case Sr.manager at PANW is comparable to FAANG M1

I’d say 450-500k . 600 most definitely won’t be possible considering they are tightening budget these days .
