Organized catering event for team onsite. Catering person really went above and beyond helping us get setup, throwing in freebies that we hadn’t considered and a lot of manual labor. Bill included automatic 20% service fee, I added another 10%. Someone in audit flagged this as I must have hit some limit and my manager just told me to be more sensible in the future. Is this the same Google?

Tip in cash.
OP would never have tipped 30% if it was his money (i.e. cash) lol
Tipping in cash results in tax evasion AND employees who are supposed to be tipped out, like the kitchen staff and people cleaning your tables don’t see any of the top.
You overtipped Who gives 30+% ?!
Agreed, As a rule of thumb do what you would have if it had been your own money..being generous on companies dime is seldom a good idea
Who tips 32%. Go woke and Go broke.
I hate American tipping culture. Pay your employees a decent salary, otherwise you have no place in running a business…
I was going to call you out but if guy went above and beyond to help setup and it’s on company’s dime, absolutely. I’d have made it rain for him.
Ehh if also he said was be more sensible, thats fair. But it seems to be a non issue, so glad you were help the cater out
Service fee is the tip
Do we have to guess where your manager is from? Ignore the miser.
if it got flagged for company policy what can he do
Yawn and move on with his life?
Tipping is the most toxic and dumbest custom ever. Now it has spread to Europe like cancer because of retard murican tourists.
All of us should be tipping at least 30 percent on a daily basis.
Ha! No!!!!!!!
Yes you would’ve gotten fired immediately if it was Amazon
