Does anyone here own similar home? I’m looking for advice on buying one under 300k 3B/2B, land not leased.
What is a manufactured home?
one built in a controlled indoor environment and shipped in pieces to be assembled on site. for example, it might build an entire wall with the insulation, windows, studs, etc and it gets transferred to the site to be assembled together with other walls. normal stick construction, all raw materials, lumber, nails, dry wall, etc are all shipped to the job site and eachwall is made on site. dont know why the first commenter is against manufacturered. both have cons in the hands of a shitty builder. manufactured is not inherently worse or better than onsite construction. in fact, when done right, your walls and materials get the benefit of not being left out in the rain for a year during construction
This is not what a manufactured home is, or at least not what I have ever heard it refer to. Manufactured homes are basically RVs not on wheels. They typically depreciate instead of maintaining or gaining value. If you are looking at a home with comparable quality to any manufactured homes I would also recommend steering away from that builder too
Don’t buy a manufactured home
