Marqeta offer
Hi all, I recently got an offer from Marqeta for remote senior swe based in Atlanta. Based on: 170k RSU: 90k vest in 3 years Bonus: 15% Stock refresher: 30k vest in 3 years The recruiter keeps saying 90k is the max they can offer. Is it lowball? Current TC: 190k YOE: 7

Ask about how often they do refreshers. Are those guaranteed. What end of published range in the job description and initial compensation conversation is this? If not close to the top, you can negotiate on the base. There isnβt a lot of information on levels.fyi so ask what company they are mapping their levels to, and do a quick search. (I am guessing Block would be a good comparison, but not sure.)

Refreshers will continue to be lack luster. They knee capped all non-bay area compensation.
What kind of refreshers are they? Must be competing with Microsoft.
