It's been exactly 1 year since we filed for my (Indian spouse) marriage based green card. I am married to a US Citizen. I did get my green card EAD after 6 months. Since then we haven't heard anything. Someone who has been through the process, can you give an idea as to how long the process usually takes for Indians? YOE: ~7 years, TC: $160k (non-tech)
Got my EAD in Oct 2021 and GC in March 2022. You need to call USCIS every other day and pester them, that seems to help. If that fails, contact your congressperson and senator, then contact the White House ombudsman office.
This is accurate
What can these people do for you when you call them?
Hamara neta kaisa ho :)
Jali na?
Haha
You should be able to look on the USCIS website where you’re at. It usually gives you a timeline.
Received mine in 3 months. What does your USCIS timeline say ?
Marriage based gc? How long it took to get ead after filing?
I didn’t receive an EAD. Straight up got the green card.
Following. I’m in the same boat with similar timelines.
Got my green card yesterday 😀
If you track your application the USCIS portal what does it say? Mine has been accurate so far every month the count does go down
How did you manage to get a US citizen wife?
🍆
Who said OP is a man?
Applied in May 2023. Got EAD + AP in Oct 2023. GC approved mid November 2023. No interview, no RFEs
Did IBM sponsor your GC?
Yes, I already had an approved I-140 through them and then they paid for and filed my marriage based GC application
Got my green card before EAD... Took exactly 1 year
when did you apply and for which location?
Marriage based green card doesn’t depend on the country of birth. It’ll take the same time for a Canadian or French as for an Indian
Lies. I’m ROW got mine in 2 months
What is ROW?
