Marvell up leveled titles a couple of years ago I believe. So Sr staff @Marvell may be equivalent to MTS at AMD. Will be tricky to get principal in Marvell with 9yoe. might need competing offers to push them. You sort of typically need 20 to 30% TC increase to make it worth a jump. Maybe ask them for a sign on to make up for rsu vesting in the next couple of quarters for you.

MS+9yoe should be qualified for Principal for top performers but I know Marvell likes to underrate the title and yoe. For Sr.Staff, RSU looks good and you can negotiate for more base. Median TC is ~240k.

I’m a manager and this is an okay offer given this extremely hot job market. You can ask for 10-20k more on base. That said, company is solid and the technology roadmap is very promising.
