The end of Backdoor Roth?!
got offers from Slalom, MassMutual. what are my options for remote in both? Can someone provides insight into when they re asking to come to office? How much can we negotiate on this offer as well. #MassMutual #slalom Slalom - senior consultant-170k+7% (target bonus) MassMutual- Lead (Mastery) - 160k+20%bonus+ 10k sign on bonus
Don’t have much insights into role.can you please enlighten on what terms of payout need to negotiate ?
Last I heard, sign on’s are paid out in tranches with a retention and repayment clause. If that’s the case, you might be able to ask for it all in a lump sum instead of split into 2-3 payments. I’d ask the recruiter for the exact sign on payout language.
Did your jobs also get offshored? We all got offshored
Congrats. At MassMutual the company is officially hybrid but not granting 100% remote (at the moment). Bonus payouts have been at or above the 20% target in recent years. You might be maxed out on base but I’d get it in writing that you’d be eligible for a comp increase in Q1. You can probably negotiate more on the sign on bonus and can negotiate the terms of the payout and clawback language. What type of role?

I just accepted a role at MM and all of this was in my offer letter. Eligible for raise in Q1, and bonus to be paid in lump sum with fractional payback if I leave before one year. I was told 2 days in the BOSTON office starting in January if everything is safe to go back.
