Mastercard or Fictiv(US based startup)

SDE with 1 YEO from India and have received two final offers from the above companies, I am having confusion regarding which one to choose. MASTERCARD - (Software Engineer) Tech Stack - Mainly Java, might including JS frontend framework as well CTC - 12.5L , I am assuming having mastercard brand in my resume would help in switching later. Also on the side note, I might be going for MS in US in 2023 fall, so having Mastercard in resume would help? FICTIV - (Frontend Developer) Tech Stack - Javascript CTC-12L, I think the work here will be more interesting as compared to mastercard since chance are that I may get legacy project there. Which offer should I opt for?

I think it depends on the industry you want to be in Payments vs Digital Manufacturing. Though, if you do work at Mastercard it will be much easier to get a job in Payments/FinTech afterwards. Looks extremely positive especially to other payment networks.

Well I am not aligned specifically to one of the industry. Still should I go with Mastercard, because it might help in grabbing opportunities during MS in US or even India due to it's brand name?

I can't speak to software development in India but I don't see why Fictiv would pigeonhole you into digital manufacturing. The platform itself is semi-ecommerce anyway. We've had people leave after a few years to airbnb, stripe, Google etc. It's a good place to work on modern tech stacks and the India team seems pretty nice from the few interactions I've had with them.

Thanks, after a long thought I will be choosing mastercard now, because I'm assuming Mastercard brand name would help in resume and also for my future MS prospects.
