Hypocrisy of Indians
I got a decent GPA overall in undergrad but have a few courses that I f*cked up (CS courses). I feel like this would limit my ability to get into a top MBA program. Currently I’m at SWE at Msft with ambitions to become VP or higher. Should I just stick the course and climb the ladder or do a MS (hopefully with a good GPA), some leadership at Msft and then MBA from a top program? 240k needfuls EDIT: One potential MS program I’m looking at is the UWash PMP. Takes 2.5 years to complete and should put me in a good spot GPA-wise and timeline for MBA as well.
What does "decent GPA" mean?

Who told you they look at individual course scores for MBA?
Most top MBA programs do this, especially when it comes to STEM and math courses.

Blind will tell you MS is not worth it but at the same time the higher you go up the chain the more common an MS seems to be. Coincidence? It’s up to you decide. Personally I think it’s worth it. It’s an achievement you can put at the top of your resume for the rest of your life. It’s expensive sure but you will probably have a good time for 2 years meeting many new people and learning alongside them. That type of experience only happens in work environment on good teams, and it’s pretty hard to find a good team.
>> the higher you go up the chain the more common an MS seems to be Good observation. Funny how the majority of executives in any Fortune 500 company typically have an MS or MBA. Yet, the users of Blind usually can't make that correlation.
MS will be 2-3 years (will probably do it concurrently while working) and then full-time MBA will be another 2 years. That’s a 5-year commitment. Expensive time-wise & expenses-wise as well.
From someone who has done a double masters MS and MBA, you don’t need both. Decide and pick one. If the end goal is business/management/leadership pick MBA. If you love technology and want to work on hard tech problems pick MS.
