Does Mathworks support employees wanting to relocate to India from US? TC : 160k #tech #mathworks
Given how cheap the company is, I highly doubt they will pay for international relocation unless you’re like a VP or something. They even wanted to force my IC friend to self-move instead of hooking them up with their relocation services. That was for a domestic inter-state move. That was after the offer was signed. That should have been a red flag right there.
Thanks for this. Do they agree to relocating internationally or is that still a problem?
I know of one senior manager who got the company to relocate them internationally. But they were a long tenured employee 10+ years. If you are an IC, or less than 7-8y tenure, forget it.
Help in the sense what?
I mean, will they support your decision to relocate.. not monetarily
TLDR: Depends on team / department A friend of mine officially transferred from Natick to India and MW bore the cost of the relocation. My friend had a tenure of roughly 5 years, and he shifted to a new team in India. But he did communicate from the start to his old team that he was interested in relocating. If your question is more generic as in does MW support inter country transfers, it totally depends on your manager/department. One thing I would say is that they dont leave much scope for negotiation as its you asking for the transfer.
as someone working in Hyd ofc, I know for a fact that there at least 5 folks who sit in my vicinity - they're all internal transfers from Natick to Hyd.. coincidentally, all of them are manager-level.. not ICs.
No , u have to find a new team , if u have a india team u are working with u can talk to the manager
