Hi MathWorks hires in CA, did recruiters refuse to disclose the pay range if you asked? Just got off the phone with a recruiter who blankly refused, saying it is against company policy to provide any pay range. That would be a violation of California law. What should I do now? This is still in the early screening stage. The recruiter was trying to force a number out of me, so I asked for a salary range. https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/california_equal_pay_act.htm See point 28.
You didn't even get the offer yet dude
Okay so you would advise to keep talking to them till that point? That's fair.
I guess depends how much you like the role/team and hope much you want to leave your current job. If you're not really that interested you can always ghost the recruiter
That's really strange. I know they give pay ranges in Massachusetts. Why not try looking on glassdoor and the likr
Thanks! I'll do that. The hiring manager just called me and spoke a good deal about the compensation calculation. It was a really helpful conversation. I feel much better prepared to speak with the recruiter now.
Recruiter hadn't even given me the full job description before lol.
Pay is really low. Don't even consider
Why doesn’t a person share a ton of pictures online? Is this because they are too attractive? No. Think about it. Same thing here. The TC must be not that attractive. They are hoping they will woo you with their personality.
What position are they hiring for in CA?
Keep ranting on blind, that will help
I know that helps folks at Amazon, so why not. 🤣
Amazon - there’s no shortage of negative comments on Blind, eh?
