Difference between Rakuten vs Rakuten Medical
My friend was reached out by some recruiter from Rakuten Medical for a senior manager role doing data science related work. I was helping her researching the pay range, company culture/WLB, but found very little. Mostly related to Rakuten as well. So anyone knows what's the deal with Rakuten Medical? What kind of level is Senior Manager, and what kind of comp can she expect? Good WLB? Her yoe - 10 TC - 210K Level - Director (high-end of front line manager) #rakuten #rakutenmedical
Some of the business units are trying to align to use the same compensation structure but I don't know who is included in that. Likely they have the same structure from before they were acquired if they were. Basically I wouldn't compare anything you find online.

I can't imagine anyone making 210k anywhere at Rakuten; in Japan only the CEOs of each sub-company earn that much. Wow.
As far I know, Rakuten is like a parent company who doesn't have any direct revenue generation system, it has all other companies associated with rakuten, such as Rakuten mobile (i work on this ), rakuten medical etc
Oh interesting. So the comp is similar across? If I found a TC data point listed under Rakuten, that should be a good reference for Rakuten Medical?
