How many of you still prefer to use a cherry mechanical keyboard over a magic keyboard? Trying to transition from my Logitech mechanical to magic keyboard and it sucks
No clue what your current mech is but you may want to try a more Mac friendly mechanical. I recently got a Nuphy Air75 since I wanted something a little more tactile(it is a low profile mech) and that I could easily switch between my Mac and PC(magic keyboard and trackpad are bad for this). It's been nice. Haven't tried the brightness keys since I use only a single external monitor, but I'll try to remember to try them out sometime.
There are several mechs that work great with Mac. You can pry my Keyboard.IO Model 01 out of my cold dead hands
Why would you want to transition to a magic keyboard? Mech is superior. I actually use a split Ergodox and love it
Mech does not have the functionality to change max screen brightness etc that magic has on the Fn keys
That’s what custom keys are for? That’s literally one of the benefits to a mech keyboard, you can map most keys to do whatever you want and even have layers of it. Once you get used to the custom layout, it’s just as efficient
