We have people joining blind whose full time salaried job it is to write posts & comments about how WFH is the devil, promoting RTO using this media manipulation tactic much like lobbying, the idea is for them to go viral, be seen by companies, and influence broad opinion. These are the same people who operate as professionals in the political area attempting to tarnish people’s reputation for financial gain. Their employers are obviously trying to influence the market in commercial real estate. They are scared cause the facts are consistently showing people are more productive in WFH setting and the market is bleeding them dry
Luckily I am not a young dev. When I was in office though I would rarely speak or collaborate with anyone as the majority Indian workforce would only eat and socialize amongst themselves. I would say finding good teammates is more important than "face time".
