Can Anyone who attended Meta Product Architecture / Design round comment on what was the focus of discussion in the interview? Recruiter says API is the main focus. But I see people posting comments that it is just like a regular interview. I saw the video in the prep section. It was basically the same as the other system design video (Tiny URL). Interviewer just asked what the API might look like and the DB schema be instead of going into the details of the Base 62 algorithm like they did in the System Design mock they did. But they could easily ask the same Base62 question in Product round as well. It is so confusing. I have an E5 loop coming up in 2 weeks and need some guidance. Anyone who attended this round recently or an interviewer from Metaβ¦ pls help a brother out! TC: 140 k YOE: 11 PS: Feel free to DM. π
Form what I understood, API calls payload return errors, data flow, data base schemes, my onsite is Monday...
Thanks. Please update us after your interview.
Depends on how it goes and the mood π π but yes
OP Iβm in the same boat, can you please share your experience from Product architecture round?
Did my product architecture round this week. I'd say it would have been very similar to system design. Like 20% different where you focus on api and user experience instead of diving into like how you would partition the data. Still asked to draw the diagram and how the request flows end to end. I don't think I did that well on it but that's one me!
Thanks for sharing! Is this for Front end or back end?
Any idea how this round would be for front end engineer (E5/E6) ??
If you find out please post lol
I posted in many places. But, no replies π
Bump!
