Hi everyone, Just received a verbal offer for E5 Meta in Greater Seattle area. I live near Kirkland area, so Redmond and Bellevue campus are preferable from commute perspective but I don’t mind traveling to Seattle area for the right team and opportunity. Questions: 1. What teams or orgs are in Bellevue and Redmond 2. Will I be missing on any perks or growth opportunities if I don’t choose Seattle. 3. What is the current RTO plan Just to keep the conversation relevant, here is my Blind Tax TC : 210k #tech #meta #fb
Redmond is mostly AR/VR I believe
Bellevue has Remote Presence. High growth opportunity (I am not a hiring manager lol 😆). The buildings are newer. In a less crowded area (spring district). You would like it if you don't want to deal with seattle crowds and traffic).
OP, how were your system design rounds, mind sharing some tips?
Bellevue office is similar in perks to Seattle, and rapidly growing.
That’s good to know. Does Bellevue location also houses FRL ?
Yes many frl teams are moving to Bellevue
I am also interested to know more about the scope and expectations for E5 level, anyone willing to DM ?
What’s the TC for Meta?
Don’t have the numbers yet, just got to know that my feedback is strong and they wanted to know the numbers on my other offers + deadlines. They will be coming back with the compensation in the next 48 hrs. Will update once I have the numbers
Nice. Any preparation tips for E5?
Seattle SLU or Sea Stadium?
Living in Seattle will be cheaper.
I already own a house in this area.
Seattle has 4 offices. Westlake, Dexter, Stadium, and the one opposite the new Apple building. You will get tons of messages from managers from all locations. You can choose the team based on location if you want to.
Why would you miss anything on perks or growth by choosing a specific office location? Do you need to choose an office before going on a boot camp?
I am also pretty unclear about this process, but the recruiter has asked me about a location preference and hence the post
