I’m currently in team matching for an E5 iOS position in NYC. What does wlb look like for E5 Mobile engineers at Meta? Most of the teams being pushed on me are Instagram — anything to watch out for or teams to avoid? Also wondering what kind of TC I can expect. Seeing mostly around 400K. OP, what was the interview process like? I am gonna be interviewing for the same role. Wanted to know the LC levels and want to absolutely avoid getting downleveled.
Hey man, it was pretty standard, all the coding interviews were two LC questions (I studied the top 150 FB tagged which was enough). Only thing that was mobile specific was the system design interview which was honestly super basic, it kind of caught me off guard a bit how basic it was. I think if you’ve been building mobile apps for 2-3 years, it will be a cake walk

How did your team matching go? Are you still in the process? If not, how long did it take? I’ve heard NYC is taking weeks to months for team matching.
Yeah I’m still in team matching. I have talked to two HMs, one went with an internal candidate the other the manager seemed awful so I said no, and I had other calls which were scheduled and then canceled because they took internal transfers or other candidates. It’s taking a real long time. Recruiter seems hopeful, but idk if that means anything
Nice good to know. I’m in 2.5 weeks now. Nothing yet. How many weeks did it take to get those 2 HM calls? Also, what made the one manager seem awful?
