I completed my onsite with Meta about 2 weeks ago for SWE E4/E5. My recruiter has mentioned that they’re still “waiting for feedback” before they can have the offline debrief. Is a 2wk+ delay in submitting feedback normal at this time of year? And nothing to worry about? Could someone at Meta with details on the hiring process shine some light? Thanks #engineering #swe
It’s all BS what non meta folks are saying. People are busy. It’s calibrations time, performance reviews. Interview packets are usually least important stuff atm for panel reviewers.
Your feedback was cuspy and the recruiter is probably trying to save the deal
How does this work?
You didn’t pass all loops. Debrief said decline and recruiter is trying to escalate to re review
I got feedback the very next for all of my interviews at Meta for E5 role. As others said, it's perf review season so things are getting delayed. Also, you might not be the top choice
If feedback is clear hire or no hire you hear back real quick. If not then it varies
Don’t buy all this. Recruiter told me there is a delay these days because there are too many candidates in the pipeline plus he is having a hard time trying to setup the debrief meeting. Best of luck.
Debrief is skipped for universal strong hire/no hire decisions or obvious no hire decisions so it’s actually quite fast
So does going through the debrief process definitely mean there’s negative/neutral feedback?
I just had an E4 round yesterday. And this was partially cause my recruiter encouraged me to wait until after perf reviews were over. Also yes, tons of candidates and headcount isn’t fully finished yet
Also had a virtual onsite 2 weeks ago tomorrow and still waiting for feedback.
Had MLE virtual onsite on Monday(5 days back), still no response from recruiter.
Did anyone else hear back or are we all ghosted?
Heard reject after 2 weeks
Sorry to hear but thanks for updating

It’s not, you’re not their first choice. They are stalling. Meta uses this tactic.
