I've got a Meta interview in a few days, and I'm a bit confused as to what exactly I'll be asked. Given the choice between the System Design interview and the Product Design interview, I picked Product Design. The Interview Prep PDF gave example questions like "Design a service or product API" and "Design an email server". However, the interview simulator in the career portal and accounts from people that interviewed lean more so in the typical SDI realm - "design leetcode", "design a memory game", etc. Looking at exponent, I'm seeing questions along the lines of "How would you design parking features on Google Maps?", and "Design a Meta product for space travel". https://www.tryexponent.com/questions?company=facebook&type=product-design I've been working my way through a SDI course (https://interviewsteps.teachable.com/p/system-design-interview-course), but now I'm wondering if I need to shift focus to something like Grokking the API Design Interview. Has anyone gone through this loop recently? Am I on the right track?
prepfully.com/coaches has a bunch of meta ems who support product architecture mocks, if you're willing to pay that could be an option.
What were you asked? Just had my interview.
Can you please explain your approach for the question asked?
OP , any update? What was the interview for design like ?
I'll DM you

If it helps, I had a product architecture interview at Meta recently. It Was geo proximity service based question, was asked to talk about estimates, components, load balancing, services and datastructures for geo indexing. Also spoke about data sharing n partitions ( not in depth).
So like google maps/yelp ?
What role did you apply/interview for?
