Looking at opportunities at Meta Reality Labs and currently evaluating the whole WFH vs in office balance. I’m more geared towards mechanical design and in my current role can WFH 95% of the time. Some places like Kuiper are more geared towards in office since they need hands on the hardware and based on some folks I know there, they’re around 80-90% in office. Does anyone know how Meta Reality Labs’ research division operates? Anyone know other companies in the Seattle/Redmond/Bellevue area for mechanical engineering where WFH is 75-95% doable? There is no support for permanent WFH for HW afaik. You will have to show up at work for X days a week eventually
Yes, that is what I heard from HR, LoL
What is the offer you got from FB?
Are u in bay area ? I am in San Diego and just interviewed FRL, pending on offer, hr said I might have to find a team that accept me working mostly remote for a hardware job
Congrats! I’m in Seattle area. Do you know how abundant those primary WFH positions are?
Qualcomm, can you share what your interview experience was like? What to expect in the onsite?
