Meta Work Phone

I have an iPhone 11. The Meta work phone is a 13 Pro. Can I use my 11 as the work phone and the 13 pro as my personal? Yes I know they own the 13 if I leave, but I just wanted to make sure they can’t see my personal data. Also they gave an extra SIM in the box and there was a sim already in the phone. What’s the extra SIM for…?

No, only corporate owned devices can be enrolled in mdm now.

What’s the downside of using it as work and personal? How much data can they actually see…?

Idk about what they can see but it’s managed by Meta so technically they can just wipe it off anytime they want. Granted that it shouldn’t happen but I don’t think it’s a good idea to be captive to their management. People who were laid off, their phones were locked up and they had to get through hurdles to get their personal data so there’s that.

Just get a new phone bro, they record everything and probably can remote access your device if needed

😔 yeah you’re probably right

iPhone has no gap between personal and work data. Android does 😉

Also, you only need one sim. Sometimes, this happens even for the phones at retail stores.

What's wrong with you? Just buy a phone! Also TC or GTFO

Bro just upgrade your phone. You work at meta so it’s decent tc regardless of your level.

lol you work at meta so you must know they see everything

Hence you should get an android for corp phone to have both personal and work on the same

Curious, what do you use a work cell phone for? Teams/slack, GitHub/GitLab updates?
