Meta background check for previously self employed?

I have a signed offer for an IC6 with Meta. My last employer of 18 months I can easily verify. Before that I had three startups I founded. Two were LLCs so no W2, pass thru taxation. Another was trying to raise funding but I never did an LLC. How does Hireright handle this situation? I have screenshots of the old websites and a pitch deck, is that sufficient?

Background checks donโ€™t include employment They only include employment up to whatever you put in As in if you donโ€™t put any employment The bc still goes

When you answer the phone, say Vandelay Industries.

Hire-right usually email or call the references you put on your BG, so you are good ๐Ÿ‘

Yeah If they donโ€™t put any job they donโ€™t call any The bc is for overall check not employment check

Don't they verify everything on the resumes back 7 years? If I leave off a startup aren't they just going to bug me about it or send to Meta that they couldn't verify it? I think I'll reach out to the recruiter and Hireright support on Monday. I'm not seeing much positive feedback on Hireright on here.

Hireright only verifies what you type into their system. If you mentioned those 3 ventures to hireright, then you're probably in for a headache since they're very thorough. I would proactively upload documents of proof of employment if you did. Otherwise, you should be fine. Source: just went through background check like a month ago for meta
