Invested such a long time working with teams to match with my preferred tech stack, manager that I vibe with, product I'm passionate about -- only to become pointless a few weeks later due to reorg. Just give me the mandatory videos to watch and assign me to a team. So dumb. Much inefficient. <<Still got paid though so all izz well>> #meta #facebook TC: 200

If your team does daily standups, your manager is a micromanager
Who cares. You are on payroll and no deadline. Just find another team and join. I worked with 5 teams before I picked one when I was at Meta’s bootcamp. Later you might find out that bootcamp was your best time at Meta anyway.
Need to wait 1 year before internal transfer though. How can you avoid the reorg/bait-and-switch once you've committed to the team? I'm ok with working with 100 teams for bootcamp as long as the team I choose doesn't bait and switch (i.e. will not all of a sudden inherit random project or relocated to another continent or get a new manager...)
You can try internal transfer and ask the director to unblock it earlier than eligible. You chose a team that got reorged into something you didn't want is a good justification.
