Hello Blinders, I wanted to ask to get an idea of what my chances are at an offer for E4. I was impacted by layoffs a few months ago. I have been Leetcoding hard and would really like this to convert to an offer. I went with Meta PSC tags for Meta folk to gauge how I felt I did from just alright, good to great. Phone Screen: GE Communicated thought process at each step of the way well. Covered edge cases, testing and time/space complexity with optimal solution. Had extra time and solved a 3rd problem. Recruiter returned with highly positive feedback from interviewer and that this should also help my case at the final review. 2 Medium 1 Easy Onsite: 2x EE 2x MA-MM Product Design: MA-MM Was able to at minimum discuss and address all topics and concerns. Provided my design choices and reasonings while upon retrospective, I also made some questionable/poor suggestions and statements. Admittedly knew this would be my weaker point, prepared as much as I could and satisfied that I at least was able to carry the conversation through the end. Interviewer was very conservative to show any positive or negative reacts. My personal feeling I estimate based on my providing some poor statements while being able to confidently speak on other areas, I did just Ok. Behavioral: MA-MM Had to reuse some scenarios and experience to answer questions. Interviewer had to guide me a bit for me to point towards what he was looking for, but he seemed patient and nice about it. Also pretty unsure on how to gauge my performance here but like the Product Design, I feel I did alright and did not make any grave mistakes. Coding 1: EE Communicated thought process at each step of the way well. Covered edge cases, testing and time/space complexity with optimal solution. Interviewer had to hint towards one part I missed at the end of the hard problem, thankfully I picked it up and was able to come to the full solution. Had a good vibe with the interviewer, even shared a moment of rapport when we shared about our unregretted unextended stint at Amazon, and he was even happy to provide feedback at the end that I did well. 1 Hard 1 Medium Coding 2: EE Communicated thought process at each step of the way well. Covered edge cases, testing and time/space complexity with optimal solution. 1 Hard 1 Medium Basically would doing well on the coding rounds with Hard solves be enough to carry weak Design/Behavioral rounds? Also wanted to ask if anyone knows the possibility for a match with a team based in LA? I practiced and re-practiced top 100 tagged Meta at about 15 questions/day for 2+ months until I could pretty much recite each under 5 min. The questions were usually reworded variations of the tagged, so I just focused on articulating and explaining each step of the thought process and algorithm. Unfortunately the Hard was not one of the tagged I solved but the practice still shone through. TC: 0 #meta #hiring #career #interview #recruiting #recruiter
It went well I guess .Did you prepare just tagged lc?
How did you prepare for the product design round? How is the round different from the normal system design round?
I wasn't sure what would be best here, I just went through Grokking API design. It focused on API design rather than infrastructure so it was on the right track
Did you buy the educative membership for that?
1 medium and 1 hard in 45 mins. What is this interview process lmao
Can you update your status when you get a response? Hope you get an offer... am at the same boat, I did bad for system design session, whereas did well for others
Mind sharing your system design question? Got my interview coming up soon
I was asked to design search in newsfeed
Did you hear back op?
An Amazonian that runs out of stories for the behavioral round. Never thought that was possible.
Is OP even a true Amazonian? Only a true Amazonian won't run out of stories..
If they joined as a new grad, they need zero to 3 stories. If they joined as an experience hired, they wouldn’t needed like 8-12 stories.
What was the result op ?
Hi Op, Any update on your result?

I’ve interviewed and heard 10+ experiences from friend. Small mistake and you’re not a hire. Sounds weird but that’s the truth.
This is true
Hope I'm the 11th your friend hasn't heard about
