I have an onsite coming up with meta for a SWE role. In initial recruiter conversation, I was set an expectation that the onsite would have SD, coding and behavioral interview. Now, I see that it has a 45mins of statistics and ML round added. This is concerning as I have not prepared for it and recruiter has not mentioned about it earlier. Should I cancel my onsite? I am worried that I would be locked from other opportunities from Meta if this onsite doesn’t go well. Please advise.
Then don’t bomb the ML interview. Delay the loop and prepare for it

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
You can get an offer from meta as a general SWE even if you completely bomb an ML interview as part of the process. Source: personal experience. I still think you should chat with your recruiter to make sure you're on the same page.
Thanks. I thought the same, but wondering as this position is for a single headcount and not general SWE. Do they still consider me for general SWE if I fail in onsite just because of ML round?
I'm not sure. This would definitely be something to reach out to your recruiter about. Good luck.
