Looks like the round 2 layoff is coming. I think you should start planning before the layoff. Otherwise other companies HC will be filled immediately.
If you work on a team that actually delivers business impact and you are well compensated why would you look something new? You are challenged with interesting work daily and work with smart people. Just stop worry about everything and do your job. If it gets to you, you will get nice package and will find a new job. The market is still hot

This is exactly the kind off gloom and doom post that I wish Blind would moderate. Yes, lay-offs are possible but why build anxiety and force people to start thinking of something bad that might never happen. Beyond anxiety it leads to depression and a general lack of well-being. I have been laid off in my past life and it takes a toll on the individual and their family. When it happens but worrying about it and causing worry is pointless.
The severance package was pretty good. I'd rather be paid to leave than quit for free.
