Meta refresher benefits

Need info, TIA! I'm expecting an offer for IC5, awaiting salary details. Refresher concept is new to me, how are refreshers given in Meta. Whats usually the refresher range for IC5? For instance if it's 100k, how much is given for Meets expectation. Will it have multiplier same as bonus or evaluated differently? Also what benefits are good at Meta? I'm hoping to crack Technical Leader level positions at Cisco/VMware. If pay is same as Meta, will its brand name be more valuable to grow in career? Current TC: 165k YOE: 10+ #tech #meta #vmware #cisco #workvisa #hardware #faang

There is a target amount (varies by role) that gets multiplied based on your performance rating. Bonus also works the same way. 15% is the target bonus for ic5 Benefits are mostly described accurately here: https://www.levels.fyi/company/Facebook/benefits/

Thanks. Do bonus and refresher have exact same multiplier or includes any other factors?

Meta Kuph85 Apr 15, 2022

They have the same multiplier

Ic5 refesher target is 138k for meets all. Exceeds adds 25% to this, greatly exceeds add more. Sweet spot is year 3 once your refreshers are stacked with your original grant

Thanks. I gave panel interviews for IC6/7 level positions with cisco, amd, vmware and they went well. Meta particularly said its IC5 only, irrespective of salary do you think its wise advice to pick lower level? Any personal thoughts if brand value will help later in career

If you are making a pivot just on brand, then yes facebook still looks good on the resume, especially if you can do a long tenure. If the pay is way different, then take the higher, come back and reinterview for ic6

Above is for tech. If your role is non tech, its lower

That’s amazing transparency. Is this info they share with managers on the front end of the year? We don’t usually get the ranges until comp planning at the end of the year

Meta Kuph85 Apr 15, 2022

Multipliers for each rating and bonuses are standardized and shared by hr to all employees. We get everything except for base refresher targets for each role/level, but employees have open, internal groups where we pool data points to reverse engineer the targets each cycle.

Meta bhrm45 Apr 15, 2022

It takes a while to get numbers for ASIC as the number of people is small but blind helps.

Ask your recruiter
