PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
I’m already working at my max capacity, getting good PSC ratings. But I’m being asked to deliver 300% of my bandwidth next half. No flexibility bc we need to show “increased intensity”. Anybody in a similar situation at Meta? #layoffwithoutlayoff
How are the 23 year old PMs doing?
They didn’t get the memo yet because they’re still at the spa
She inspires people while vibing cute 300% of her bandwidth. Be better, be like her.
All that while working for 2/3 pay. I hope they give you a nice big refresher to make up for it
Expecting big refresher 🤡
More like 1/2 pay
Your manager is likely garbage and is himself/herself on the chopping block
This makes sense to me. Why else would you put yourself in a position to fail this big unless you were already under water. Obviously this will go horribly. It sounds like this has already been staked in the plan, so the best bet here is to go to your skip and level with the.
Get back to work metaslave! PS: seriously why are you still at that company?
Cause yours isn't hiring anymore?
But nobody wanted get off their high horses and high TCs to join prior to this past month! Although I did see and interview a much higher number of GCP people stream in over to AWS. Something I've never seen before.
No, our expectations in my org have not changed at all.
I’m actually not that busy we are having normal work
300%?
more like your manager is pushing you hard to save his own axx. Remember u have valuable and transferrable skillsets .. your manager is trying to hold on to his big paychecks and can't go elsewhere.
Where pray tell are workers suppose to go if a lot of companies are doing hiring freezes and the applicant competiton has just increased because layoffs are widespread?
He is a 'FAANG' manager though...
Time to start working at 50% capacity
Who's asking for 300%? Aren't you supposed to manage expectations?
My PM and now the leadership. I provided all the data points and detailed milestones trying to manage the expectation. All XFNs except the PM thinks it’s overly unrealistic. But my PM ignored it and presented it to leadership as is, and the leadership, not knowing the massive scope, asked for even more aggressive timeline. And now everyone is like “yes, your highness”.
Go around the PM. Talk directly to your skip. Also tell the PM that when the team fails to deliver it will reflect negatively on the PM.
