With the Meta RPM applications going live, wanted to start a thread for folks to ask questions and keep track of interview stages. I went through the program a few years back and can help answer questions regarding the program or the process. If you have a question, please leave them as comments instead of DMs so others can benefit from your question as well Applications are open 7/18-8/12 #meta #rpm #apm #product #pm #productmanager
Can someone refer me :)
They don’t take referrals anymore!
Is a Rotational Program Manager considered entry-level? I have 3.5 YOE as a TPM and 5 YOE total. I’m looking for PM 2 / Senior level roles. RPM looks interesting but concerned it would set me back in career. Thoughts?
They consider people with less than 1 year of PM/tech experience
RPMs are considered entry level PMs at Meta, but the program takes undergrads, MBA grads, and folks with non-PM work experience. Whether being an entry level PM is worth it for you is a personal decision depending on your desire to switch into PM and your ability to do so at a higher level based on your experience
How vital is applying today? My application won't be ready until the end of the week 😢😭
Doesn’t matter when you apply
Do they reach out to applicants before the apps close?
Don’t think so as to not bias against people who apply the last week
Is having SWE experience a negative for this role? Says they actively look for candidates with no tech experience. Thanks!
I have 1 year of software engineering experience and 1 year of hardware engineering experience. Do they hire/look for candidates like me?
They hire candidates of all backgrounds. There have definitely been many engineers in the program
Do they hire candidates from outside the US and help with immigration?
+1 From the FAQs it looks like they won’t sponsor visa
Where did you see that, salesforce?
Would you say the short answer questions hold equal or greater weight than a resume? I feel like I’m overthinking them 😫
Where are the short answer questions? Is it a part of the application? I haven’t looked at it yet

Are applicants stack ranked during a final de-brief?
There is a target class size. Not sure if they stack rank at the end or if they slow roll final round interviews
Out of curiosity, what was your class size?
Just applied earlier today! Fingers crossed. Meta and Google RPM/APM are my ambitious top goals
Is the google APM out yet?
No Google will be out in September. Good luck with it if you apply! Godspeed. Let me know if you know much about product management at Amazon

What exactly is RPM and what do they do?
An RPM is a rotational product manager - an entry level product manager who works in three different teams on rotation of six months each to learn the PM craft and build a product in each team.
RPM is for the insecure overachievers whose entire identity is connected towards being a PM at a big tech firm, and spend just as much time marketing their course on how to become a PM as they do actually building features. I say this as someone who go into a top 10 apm program and to help everyone in this thread to have some self awareness
