We all know Amazon Strives to be the world's best employer. So let's have an open conversation about metrics being tracked for monitoring. I know we should assume everything on the work machines is tracked and all badging is also tracked. The time you login, what apps are open, what websites are loaded, chime calls, slack usage, code commits, to e if badge entry and exit and time in office and which office, etc. Is there a definite list or tool that shows these bits of data and if yes what bits of data are being monitored and what is being actioned on or pushed for with this efficiency push. If you're a manager or senior leader or ex-senior leader from Amazon let's hear the truth. Projected TC: 350k Actual TC: 300k
.
You should worry about the other types of metrics that are tracked but not actioned on: the daily Connections survey
My manager once told me in the past we were being watch everywhere. After spending a few years at Amazon, controlling has become worse and worse. Metrics are worthless to grow the business. Layers and layers of management for so-called two pizza teams. If you want to survive at Amazon, don’t catch their attention while meeting the bar (no where to be found)

Is meta really worth the wait?
There are so many employees what will they do by tracking this stuff which doesn't add value to business? I don't think they track every nitty thing. They would just track if you copy paste code or confidential data on public internet.
They track when you log in. If you start logging in at 2 pm for a week, you'll get connections questions in the afternoon the next week, not when you.log in in the morning. They caught an intern posting code. But not internally. The code would be so boring anyway. I could tell you exactly how the code works and you'd know nothing without the data.
